About Me

Hi there! I’m Tianyu, a second-year PhD student at Technical University of Munich. I graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with Robotics master degree.  During my graduate study, I worked on various Medical Augmented Reality projects supervised by Dr. Nassir NavabDr. Mathias Unberath, and Dr. Javad Fotouhi at the laboratory of Computer Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP). Between 2019 and 2020, I worked as a Research Software Engineer at Verb Surgical, Inc (now part of Johnson & Johnson).

I received my B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a second B.S degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Sun Yat-sen University, China.

Music, traveling, and photography are my three main passions in life. If you play any instruments, welcome to jam with me! I’ll be on the drum or Launchpad.

When I’m on the road, I like to take photos and make travel videos after the trip, feel free to check them out on my Instagram and Youtube!

I’ll share my cool work and stories on this website and if you’re still reading this, I want to say THANK YOU for following my blog.
